My Work:

Final Major Project - Sainsbury Centre

inside of this project we worked with the Sainsbury Centre to create a game demo which included a piece displayed in their exhibit. This demo would be play tested by the public in an event held by the Centre.
With this project, i used this to explore all my different skills and put each of them to the test to create a playable demo before the deadline.
This project was really fun to create and it was amazing to explore their exhibit and see all of the different pieces they had on display

New Anglia Jam - "Spiral"

in the New Anglia Jam 2024 i participated in a team to produce a game titled "Spiral".
Within my team, my main focus was audio design and creating the various music tracks featured in our submission.
Audio Design is a skill i wasn't confident in but this jam allowed me to explore more into the process behind the role and i have been able to build on that skill

My Contribution:

Specialism Work - Level Design

in this project we were tasked to focus onto a specific role inside the industry in which we found to be most interesting and would want to progress in after studies.
One role i found most interested in was Level Designer, after looking through past projects i found this role to be my best area of work and something i felt most confident & comfortable in.
For this project, i researched into a Warehouse location. i captured primary and looked into secondary research of the location and even games that use a similar location

Primary Research:

for my primary research i was lucky enough to have a warehouse inside my workplace which was perfect!
i wanted to capture the racking and aisles more specifically to help me think about how the sizings could work inside a game.

Layout Sketches:

before i went into production and began mapping out the level i came up with some layout ideas i could go with for my level, trying to capture the ideas i have from my research and what goes into a level so it's understandable to the player.

this project helped me gain a better understanding on the process that goes behind being a Level Designer in the industry and what you have to achieve and go through to make a level which can be enjoyable to the player.
